Description

Our client is a well-established and reputable automotive service provider committed to delivering top-quality service to their valued customers. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop Foreman to join their team and lead their workshop to new heights.

Workshop Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.

Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment.

Quality Control: Ensure all repairs and services are performed to the highest standards, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.

Technical Expertise: Diagnose complex vehicle problems, provide technical support to technicians, and stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies.

Job Allocation & Scheduling: Efficiently allocate jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload, and create and maintain workshop schedules.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage workshop inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.

Customer Communication: Liaise with service advisors and customers to provide updates on vehicle repairs and address any concerns.

Health and Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.

Performance Monitoring: Track and monitor technician performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement training programs as needed.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all workshop activities, including job cards, time sheets, and inventory logs

Requirements

  • Trade Test - Passenger vehicle technician
  • JLR Level 4 qualification
  • Proven minimum of at least 2 years as Workshop Foreman in the JLR franchise environment.
  • Driver's License with no endorsements.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Excellent leadership skills, communication skills and people skills.
